Meet Maya!
Maya is a soon-to-be 9-year-old Labrador Retriever with a sweet, eager-to-please personality. She loves attention, enjoys spending time with her people, and looks forward to her daily walks. She’s easy to walk on a leash, although she occasionally displays a few habits from her past life, such as gently nibbling.
Maya’s nose is always hard at work, following the scent trails of rabbits, and she’ll happily chase a squirrel if given the chance. She loves exploring her fenced yard and enjoys playing with her 3-year-old foster Labrador brother.
Like many Labs, Maya has a bit of selective hearing now and then, but unlike most, she isn’t especially food-motivated. She’s working on reaching a healthy weight and enjoys staying active.
When it’s time to relax, Maya is happiest cuddling with her people, though she’s equally content curling up in her own bed. She’s a wonderful overnight companion, happily sleeping eight hours or more.
Maya would make a loving companion for a family looking for a gentle, affectionate dog who enjoys both adventure and quiet time.
