Meet Our Adoptable Labrador Retrievers
Meet Henry!
Henry is a handsome 2 year old pup with a goofy personality and a lot of love to give.
He does have an old injury to his right paw that healed improperly, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit—he runs, plays, and enjoys life just like any other young dog.
Inside the home, Henry is a total sweetheart. He’s friendly, affectionate, and loves everyone he meets. Outside, on leash, is where he’s still figuring things out. New people, dogs, bikes, strollers and busy environments make him nervous. With the help of professional trainers he has already made nice, steady progress.
Henry will need a patient adopter who’s willing to keep helping him build confidence. He has all the potential to be a wonderful, well-adjusted dog. He just needs someone to show him the world isn’t so scary.
Henry’s ideal home:
• Someone patient and committed to continuing his training
• A fenced yard (especially helpful in busier areas)
• A playful, confident dog buddy (he LOVES other dogs and really thrives with one who will play with him)
• A home without young children or anyone unsteady on their feet, as Henry can be excitable and is still learning his manners
Henry is crate-trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He also does best crated when home alone, give him a treat or chew and he settles right in.
Like most young dogs, Henry gets wild if he’s bored, so regular exercise and enrichment will go a long way in keeping him out of trouble.
Henry is a fun, loving dog who’s going to make a really wonderful companion in the right home. With a little patience and consistency, he’s only going to keep getting better.
