Hi everyone! Beanie here, a playful pup who wants to snuggle with you. I'm 8 months of age with a chocolate coat. I weigh 27 pounds and will always be a little girl. I was rescued after being abandoned in a rural area in North Florida. The county shelter staff liked to play with me and asked Sunshine State Lab Rescue to help me. I'm very friendly with people and other dogs, plus cats. Folks originally thought that I was only 3 months old because I'm a pint sized pup, but the vet estimated that I'm 8 months of age and that I'm a dwarf. Remember the Munchkins in the Wizard of Oz? Being a dwarf, I'm very cute and smart. Alongside that, I have cataracts on my eyes. Usually older dogs and people get those, but the cataracts came with my dwarfism. SSLR made sure I went to the best eye specialists. My left eye is going to be removed because my retina is not attached and this will help me to be comfortable as I get older. My eye specialist says that I'll adjust well to my vision situation with consistent surroundings in a loving home. Everyone says that I'm a very good girl. Come to Newberry (near Gainesville) so we can play and cuddle.
